1. Scope & Brand Evolution

This Privacy Policy governs mobile applications and web services provided by HeliAviator Labs LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), including software originally published under the developer handle Heli-av8er (founded by Jay Ferguson) which is currently transitioning to HeliAviator Labs LLC.

This policy applies across all supported platforms, including Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and any companion web portals at heliaviatorlabs.com and heli-av8er.com.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We believe that operational flight tools and performance meters do not require surveillance or account creation. Specifically:

• No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, physical address, or phone number within our applications.
• No User Accounts or Passwords: Our applications do not require account creation, registration, or social media logins.
• No Third-Party Analytics SDKs: We do not integrate third-party telemetry, tracking, or behavioral profiling tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tracking software).
• No Advertising Networks: We do not include third-party ad networks, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or targeted marketing SDKs.

3. On-Device Sensor Data & System Permissions

Certain applications require device sensor permissions to perform their core engineering and mathematical tasks:

Pocket Dyno (Telemetry & Acceleration Meter)

• Accelerometer & Gyroscope: The motion sensors measure real-time vehicle acceleration vectors (longitudinal and lateral G-forces). These sensor measurements are processed entirely in memory on your device to calculate wheel horsepower, torque curves, and elapsed acceleration times. Sensor data is never streamed or uploaded to any server.
• Location (GPS): Location permission is used strictly during active sprint and dynamometer test runs to determine vehicle ground speed and elapsed distance. Pocket Dyno does not monitor or track location in the background, does not create persistent trip histories on external servers, and does not disclose geographic coordinates to any third party.

Aviation Fuel Converter & Aviation Suite

• Sensors: These applications require no camera, microphone, motion sensor, or location permissions. All calculations (conversions, tank balancing, Hobbs math, currency dates) are mathematical formulas executed strictly on-device.

4. Local Data Storage & User Exports

Any preferences or custom settings you enter (such as customized specific gravity values in Aviation Fuel Converter, or vehicle curb weight in Pocket Dyno) are stored exclusively in your device's local application sandbox (e.g. iOS UserDefaults or local device storage).

If you choose to export telemetry (e.g., CSV run logs in Pocket Dyno), the file is generated locally and shared solely through the standard iOS Share Sheet to the destination of your choice (such as your personal iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or local file system). HeliAviator Labs LLC receives no copy of your exported files.

5. In-App Purchases & StoreKit Processing

All purchases, upgrades, or downloads are processed directly by Apple through the Apple App Store via StoreKit (or Google Play on Android, if applicable).

HeliAviator Labs LLC never has access to your credit card details, billing address, or financial payment credentials. Apple provides developers with anonymized transaction receipts solely to unlock purchased functionality and enable purchase restoration.

6. Closed-Course Testing & Liability Disclaimer

Under no circumstances should acceleration or dynamometer runs be executed on public roadways, highways, or streets. Users assume all risk and liability for safe vehicle operation and adherence to all traffic laws. HeliAviator Labs LLC and its developers disclaim any and all liability for reckless driving, vehicle damage, personal injury, or legal infractions resulting from the use or misuse of our telemetry software.

7. Aviation Calculation Operational Disclaimer

Applications in our aviation catalog (including Aviation Fuel Converter, Hour Difference Calculator, and Date Difference Calculator) are intended as supplementary calculation aids for flight planning and logbook accounting.

The pilot in command (PIC) remains solely responsible for verifying certified weight & balance, fuel requirements under 14 CFR Part 91/121/135 (or applicable ICAO regulations), and ensuring aircraft operations comply with the FAA-approved Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) or Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH).

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our software and web services are not directed toward children under the age of 13. Because our apps collect zero personal data, we do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit information from children.

9. Contact Information & Policy Amendments

We may periodically revise this Privacy Policy to reflect app updates, new regulatory requirements, or App Store guideline updates. Revisions will be posted immediately to this URL with an updated effective date.
